Sec. 1.3 - Area of Composite Figures

In this question, I knew I had to find the area of the lawn in order to determine how much it should cost per month.  Since the composite figure was a trapezoid, I used the area of a trapezoid formula which asks me to add the lengths of the parallel sides and then multiply by the height (BEDMAS).  We then divide by 2 to find the area is 510m^2.

However, after double-checking my answer, I can see that I forgot to divide by 2, so the actual area is 255 m^2.  This means that Denton should expect to pay $70 per month rather than $80 as I had originally stated.
